This project is called ‘The Pagan Compendium: Magical Wonders for Curious Minds and it is a collection for children between the ages of 7 and 11.

This was my final project for my Master's in Advanced Graphic Design and Illustration and as such was printed and defended before a panel.
The collection explores Paganism, a nature-based polytheistic religion, inspired by the religions of the ancient world.

Some say that modern paganism uses ancient wisdom to address the needs and concerns of the present, meaning that many turn to paganism to find a better way to live in relation to the world and each other.

This is why a collection for children about paganism would be very popular in today's market, especially since there is currently no similar collection available.
The collection includes a book, a lunar calendar, a card game, a puzzle and some stickers, all of which come in a handy rucksack.

This children's book is titled "Nature's Rhythms: A Poem Inspired by the Pagan Wheel of the Year" and is one of the main elements to this collection.
The reader journeys through the pagan holidays celebrated over a year via a simple poem. The scenes are busy and welcoming and the landscapes are ever-changing.
This card game is called "Mythical Deities: Pagan Gods Top Trumps," and includes 30 of the most common pagan deities from the British Isles.
The collection also contains a puzzle in a tin, some stickers and a lunar calendar, all of which link to elements of Paganism such as the lunar cycles, festivities or pagan objects.
And here the whole collection comes together:

I used a limited colour palette and made sure that the collection felt cohesive by using the book as a focal point and using its illustrations across all of the elements.
